Mrs. Vella Doris McMahan age 84 of McMinnville, TN, died Tuesday, June 14, 2022, at Accension St. Thomas Rutherford in Murfreesboro, TN. She was born May 4, 1938 in Dekalb, TN, was a homemaker, and was a member of The Church of Christ. She loved her family and friends very much. Mrs. McMahan was preceded in death by her parents Bernard and Elizabeth Vanhooser Cummings, sister Nina Cunningham, and brothers Jim Cummings and Bobby Cummings, brothers-in-law Earl Whitlock, Ernie Russell, and Sherman Morris.

Survivors include husband Paul McMahan of 62 years, daughters Paula Russell of McMinnville TN and Lori (Jordan) Boyd of Cookeville, TN, granddaughter Claire Boyd, grandsons Samuel, Silas, Isaiah and Ezra Boyd all of Cookeville, TN, sisters-in-law Patsy Whitlock, Pinkey (Tommy) Dodd, Nancy (Tony) Davis, Ellen (Terry) Murray of McMinnville  TN, and Billie Russell of Tampa FL, brothers-in-law Gene (Patsy) McMahan,  Richard (Tena) McMahan, Waymon McMahan of McMinnville, TN and Homer (Mary) Wilson. Many nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends survive. Special friends Mike, Amy, and Jenny Vaughn.

Funeral services were conducted June 18, 2022 in the McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor John Nichols, Jordan Boyd, and Tommy Dodd officiated. Interment followed at Mt. View Cemetery.
