Mr. Wallace Lee "Little Bud" Barnes, Jr. age 95 was born and raised in Warren County, TN. He was of the Irving College Community and died Saturday, May 16, 2020, at his residence. Born March 11, 1925, in McMinnville, TN, he was a veteran of the U. S. Army Air Corps serving his country in WWII and was a retired machinist and former owner of C & M Machine Shop. He was a member of the Church of Christ most recently of Mt. Leo Church of Christ. He loved God and was blessed with a long life and a peaceful departure from his life here on this earth. "Little Bud" also loved fishing and being with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents Chester Wallace and Frances Lee Hill Barnes, Sr., brother John Hoyt Barnes, sister Lucy Emma Brady, and his daughter Candace Lynn Barnes-Cook. Survivors include his wife of 72 years Barbara Berneda Rogers Barnes, children David Ralph (Marcia) Barnes, Rodger Eugene (Rhonda) Barnes, and Beverly Roxanna (Kirk) Pender, grandchildren John Barnes, Travis (Crystal) Barnes, Stephanie (Troy) Hobbs, Taneah (Rick) Lay, Alyson Pender, Maddison Cook, and Parker Cook, 4 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.
A graveside service will be conducted at Hebron Cemetery. Bro. Donald Jones will officiate. There will be no public visitation at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to one of the Churches of Christ.
