Mr. Walter L. Macon. age 71 of McMinnville, Tennessee passed away Wednesday, September 04, 2024 at Ascension St. Thomas West Hospital in Nashville, TN. He was born on February 22, 1953 in McMinnville, Tennessee, retired from A.O. Smith/Century-Electric, and was of the Church of Christ faith.  He enjoyed watching football, was always helping people out, and was a hard worker. Mr. Macon was preceded in death by his parents Walter Lewis Macon, Sr. and Annie Laura Crisp Macon and wife Carrie Elizabeth Macon.

Survivors include his daughter Shannon Renee Porras (Jason  Winegar), son Corey Leavelle Woods (Dynasty Barkes), sister Patricia (Hullon) Bonner, special friend Adolfo Porras, grandchildren Alexia T. Porras, TayShaun R. Porras, Itastious Drake, Itavia Drake, Avia Salinas, and Shayla Woods, and great grandchildren Caden Drake, Riley Hubbard, Easton McCormick, Everly McCormick, and Cyncere Walker.

Funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Thursday, September 12, 2024 at McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Chris Whitaker will officiate. Interment will follow at Elamtown Cemetery. Visitation with the Macon family will be held on Thursday from 12:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. at the McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel.
