Mr. William (Bill) Roger Bumps age 73 of McMinnville, TN, died October 02, 2019, at his residence. He was born September 13, 1946, in Springfield, VT, and was of the Lutheran faith. He was a former pilot with Eastern Airlines and a safety inspector with the FAA. Bill served in the Special Forces as a Green Beret for his country with the U.S. Army in the Vietnam War. He received numerous medals including the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star. Mr. Bumps was preceded in death by parents Roger William and June Mary Atwood Bumps.

Survivors include his wife Jayne Tosh-Bumps, children John Young, Jennifer Young, and Jeanette Young, grandchildren Samantha, Nicolas, and Ella, siblings Linda Anne House and Don Bumps, with nieces and nephews Lisa Blade, Wendy Colville, Micah Bumps, and Sarah Barrett, and several cousins.

The Bumps family will have visitation on Thursday, October 03, 2019 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the parlors of McMinnville Funeral Home. Interment will follow on Friday, October 04, 2019 at 1:00 PM Eastern Time at the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
