Mrs. Carrie Yvonne Gunter age 92 of McMinnville, TN, (Centertown Community) passed away on Friday, October 06, 2023 at N.H.C. HealthCare. She was born February 10, 1931, in McMinnville, was a member of Bates Hill Cumberland Presbyterian Church, a member of the Bates Hill Ladies Group, a Ladies Vol Basketball fan, and previously worked for Powermatic. She was preceded in death by her parents Amos Lee and Opal Marie Scott Lance, first husband J. T. Helton, second husband Jones C. "Joe" Gunter, sisters Vita Gulley and Freda Bouldin, and brothers Charles Lance and Donald Lance.

Survivors include her step daughter Cheryl Gunter (Paul Rabe), sister Delma Helton, sister-in-law Mae Belle Lance, nieces and nephews A.J. (Phyllis) Gulley, Donna Dunlap, Janet (David) Hobbs, Ronnie (Regina) Jennings, Walter (Phyllis) Lance, Ann Ferrell, Donald Lynn (Sherry) Lance, Mickie (Bill) Spray, Vickie (Bobby) Mathis, Barbara Black, and Steve (Nancy) Helton, and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

Funeral services were conducted October 08, 2023, at Bates Hill Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Robby Black and B.J. Mathis officiated. Interment followed at Centertown Cemetery.
